What happens when you take five beloved, powerhouse authors, each with a unique voice and style, give them one word to work with, and put them between the sheets together, no holds barred?

Magic!!!

Brisk Press presents Lynn Ames, Georgia Beers, JD Glass, Susan X. Meagher and Susan Smith, all together under the same cover with the aim to satisfy your every literary taste. This incredible combination offers something for everyone — a smorgasbord of fiction unlike anything youll find anywhere else.

A Native American raised on the Reservation ventures outside the comfort and familiarity of her own world to help a lost soul embrace the gifts that set her apart. A reluctantly wealthy woman uses all of her resources anonymously to help those who cannot help themselves. Three individuals, three aspects of the self, combine to create balance and harmony at last for a popular trio of characters. Two nomadic women from very different walks of life discover common ground — and a lot more — during a blackout in New York City. A traditional, old school butch must confront her community and her own belief system when she falls for a much younger transman.

Five authors — five novellas. Outsiders — one remarkable book.

The book tour for Arusha begins in Toronto, to celebrate nine years of writing and friendship. I am so pleased to have the support of Glad Day Bookshop (http://gladdaybookshop.com), now the oldest surviving gay and lesbian bookstore in the world. That's Tuesday, the 6th of October, 7:00 PM at Slack's Restaurant and Bar, 562 Church Street (http://slacks.ca).

Then, on to Provincetown, Massachusetts, where on Wednesday, the 14th of October, at 5:00 PM I'm hosting an "intimate reading" along with Cheri Crystal, Dalia Craig, and poets Rrrose Carbinela and DK Fresta. Anyone who plans to be there, please e-mail me and I'll provide the exact address. I believe snacks will be served at both events!

I will be at Now Voyager Bookstore on Thursday, the 15th of October at noon, along with novelist KG MacGregor (357 Commercial Street Provincetown; http://www.nowvoyagerbooks.com/). Finally, KG and I will also be joining authors Karin Kallmaker and Jocelyn Powers at Womencrafts on Friday the 16th at 11:30 AM (376 Commercial St.; http://womencrafts.com).

I hope to see you in October! Thanks.

Goldenseal
Released 15th September 2009 – The first in the Garoul series, a paranormal romance.
In their teens Amy Fortune and Leone Garoul used to be lovers. Now, years later, Amy finds herself returning to Little Dip, the Garoul home valley to help her aunt finish a botanical project. Except Little Dip is no longer the happy place of Amy’s childhood memories. There’s something sinister in the woods and she no longer feels safe. Meanwhile, Leone dogs her every move, forcing her to look at their old relationship when Amy wants to forget about it altogether.
Lost and confused in a valley of shadows, there is always something snipping at her heels and snapping at her heart. What is the secret that has excluded her since childhood? And why can’t Leone let her go?
As parts of the puzzle come together, more and more of the Garoul family arrive for a special hunting weekend, and Amy’s fears begin to grow as she moves closer to the truth.

For those of you who are already familiar with my novels, here is a little bio update:

By day, a teacher, by night, an explorer – I began to search for life’s meaning, initially through writing fiction and more recently through learning, living, and writing about spiritual philosophy.
A couple of years after my most recent set of back-to-back novels, “Far From Maddy” and “Morgan in the Mirror”, my writing took an entirely different tack. I embarked on “Late But *IN* Time”, a collection of spiritual articles inspired by my inner-most thoughts on all Matters of the Soul.

Ed : to read more, head to www.ccsaint-clair.com
